Though I am not a political person at all but in my opinion she was an excellent administrator and a wonderful but tough human being. Called Amma, many say she was a blessing for the people of Tamil Nadu. Once when I had gone to meet my sister and I was walking in the Mylapore area of Chennai (this is 15 to 20 years ago) I saw her (CM) convoy and she was sitting in the front seat of the ambassador car.

Analysis
So thank you for providing me this birth detail because it fits with her life. More so two of the major events in her life. Venus exalted in the 10th means successful in the film world and very wealthy. Good looking and position of authority and comfort through life. 7th house having Jupiter Lord is critical, because it was only due to Late MG Ramachandran and their mutual love that she came into limelight. So they; she and MG Ramachandran were made for each; other even though he was married from before but she was his soul mate and the major part of luck came to her via him. Since she came to know MG Ramachandran, because Jupiter is lord in the 7th house is a very auspicious placement.
She was ascendant Gemini, very intelligent, practical at 18 degrees; fun loving and romantic. Second house has Saturn retrograde and enemy; so right from the childhood she has been working. Her life has not been easy; she has worked her way up and achieved the position that she has due to her own hard work. Stress is there in her professional life and family life. It was not easy because when Saturn sits retrograde and enemy in a family house or second house it means your family life is hardly there. It is all about work or karma. 3rd house has Moon and Mars retrograde, this means emotionally she was very strong person. Very wealthy, but if she is irritated then she will not spare anyone. Little bit she will tolerate, it is not that she will snap at everything and anything but beyond a certain point she will be no nonsense. Also, if she had many people liking her; there were equal number of people who were her enemies also or jealous of her. 5th house has Ketu, means absence of a child. But 7th house has Jupiter Lord. So this is a wonderful placement/ defining placement. This means that even though she did not have children of her own but the children of Tamil Nadu she treated them like her own children and worked for them. Some of her decisions could have been wrong but she was entitled to rise to fame via films or contacts in the film industry and/or via MGR and occupy a position of authority and that is via politics. She was very comfortable with that; it is not that she was being pushed into politics; she was very comfortable in that authoritative post with all the trouble that it bought; she was okay with that. Now her 11th house has Rahu. So of course she was well known. We still remember her today despite it being a decade since she passed away. She will be remembered by the people of Tamil Nadu and India but she had her own shares of controversies. So name, fame, authority was there but it came with a lot of controversies also. More so after MGR passed away she was alone but she was strong enough not only survive but also thrive politically and do wonders for the people of Tamil Nadu. Though constant battles and controversies was her second nature. Her and late Shri Karunanidhi’s political battles are well known.
The most wonderful thing that I see in her chart and this is surprising is that she died during the best time in her life. Her 7th house Jupiter is lord, so in her 7th Lord Jupiter Mahadasha, just at its start in her Jupiter – Jupiter Antardasha. So people who pass away at their best time are the ones who attain moksha or go direct to God. Because God tells them you have done enough good work and now you come to me and stay with me. So this is the part that amazes me. Otherwise she would have easily survived her Jupiter mahadasha as this this was one of the best times in her life. These 16 years after 2012 she could have easily lived atleast 10 more years as her next Saturn Mahadasha would have taken her. But going away suddenly – I remember she was hospitalized and then suddenly she went away tells me that she was God’s child, came here for a purpose, to meet her soulmate and to serve the people of her state and then go back. I think she wanted to go and be one with her soul mate. They both will never come back.
