There is a lot of controversy surrounding this minister because of E20 fuel and related conflict of interest issues; though I have not had any personal adverse E20 experience; and quality of some of the highways being built. Recently there is news of a NHAI supervised Lucknow to Kanpur Highway not lasting 14 days. Though under him highway connectivity in India has become excellent.
Having initially worked in the project sector in India, I know there is corruption between the engineers and the contractors. But till what level it goes up or does it go up to the Union minister level; personally I dont think so.
One cant blame anyone, without knowing the facts.
Still, optics do not look good for him and the opposition party is asking for his resignation. But that is the job of the opposition party.
I confess, I do not understand politics, my assessment is total astrological.
