I was interested in analysing the chart of this said very senior IPS officer who has had a very flourishing and successful life; a dream of many Indians. Of getting selected into the IPS in 1993 – Karnataka Cadre and not only that but rising to the top post of Director General of police; may be a bit sidetracked and given the police housing board stint but still nevertheless a very materially successful person; though at the end of his career he has gotten into deep trouble and may get a bad name due to the activities of his stepdaughter. So it would be an interesting to analyse his chart.
I was more interested since on a govt directory; I got his birth details (as below).
I would still mention that majority of the government officers working all levels are upright, stand up kind of people and they have a thankless job at the end of the day.

Summary analysis
As expected this is a excellent chart. Ascendant Cancer; hence he is emotional and emotionally protective person but at the same time wise. 5th house has Moon debilitated and Ketu. This is a troubling placement; this means that due to him being very sensitive he will suffer. He will not be able to take the pressures of very senior posts like he would succumb under the pressure if he was being made the DGP of the whole police force of Bangalore; so that kind of pressure he cannot take and also some trouble, worry, complications in the domestic aspect including children is there but otherwise it is also seen that he would hardly get any time for his children. He is so busy.
He strikes cosmic gold his 9th house onwards. As Venus exalted and Saturn in the 9th house means professionally he will do very well; he will be lucky in his life, be a hard working person and not only that he will live a life of luxury via his profession and which will be the source of material luxuries and a life of comfort for him PLUS hard work. So he is very lucky that way and his 10th house is the jackpot house because Sun exalted, Mars lord housed and Mercury means he is a very intelligent person, upright kind of person, he is not a foolish person, highly intelligent and he has leadership skills but the issues is that Moon debilitated means that pressures he is not able to take and can succumb to work plus family pressure. He is not thick skinned and emotional and sensitive. Mars Lord House means that he gets along with people; his relationship with his family and colleagues in his personal and professional life is good and Mercury here means that he is basically going to live a life of a king. Be a very wealthy person; there is authority in his chart; so this is the life a very senior person who has a lot of authority in life and life of extreme wealth and also senior leadership role is there in his destiny. This is found in the chart of Army generals – only that their Moon is well placed too; but generally this kind of placement is found in the chart of senior Army officers. Rahu in the 11th house is tricky because what it means is that finally he will settle far away from his place of birth; so he is born in Andhra Pradesh and he is in Karnataka; so he has till now most of his life; he must have travelled overseas; but he is close by only to his place of birth but right now his “tricky” Rahu Mahadasha has started and due to MKSD this becomes very tricky and due to children only there is trouble and as it is the propensity of legal trouble or legal problems or worry due to children is there in his chart because Jupiter is in the 12th house, which is not a good placement at all. That means right now in his 11th house Rahu Mahadasa which just started this year itself; it will be a tricky time; there will be legal turmoil and eventually the outcome of all this will be that maybe after he retires; he will go far away from the scene of all this. So maybe after retirement relocate somewhere with family for peace of mind because Rahu in the 11th house with MKSD means that this kind of bad name or controversy around him because Jupiter is also in the 12th House.
so as soon as his Rahu Mahadasha started in January, 2025 again tricky scenario has a risen for him and tricky legal scenario but nonetheless his chart is very powerful and as a result of all this one thing that will definitely suffer irreversibly is his health. He is a sensitive person and he cannot take stress and this is too much stress – it is a personal tragedy right stepdaughter and second it does not show him in good light.
So he has to do the remedies for Rahu/MKSD, Jupiter and for Moon he has to wear a pearl; otherwise this is lucky chart because without a very lucky chart you cannot – not only get selected into the IPS but rise to the rank of a DGP. Show the stability that he has known all his life that will start to wobble a bit going forward for the rest of his life(next mahadasha of Jupiter is also tough) but there is enough firepower in the chart that he will be able to deal with it.
So this is a case in which due to being emotionally attached – he is emotionally attached – even if its his stepdaughter; he is an emotional person; he has just looked the other way; maybe he was not exactly aware to what extent the lady has fallen. So he has been emotionally taken advantage of and Rahu has cast a tricky legal spell.
