Summary Analysis
Sheikh Hasina has been in the news ever since the start of the retrograde Mercury mahadasha or since last week of July and things should settle down a bit now as retrograde Mercury ends. This when she was suddenly ousted and ran away from Bangladesh and is now stuck in limbo most probably living out of an Indian Air Force base in New Delhi. Though I did not pay much attention to news coming out of Bangladesh but this caught my eye. A country where democratically elected governments cannot sustain; since the country gained independence in 1972 with the help of India of course (please read the post note about this); there have been several instances of the Bangladesh army taking over and, in this case, also right now it is a puppet person installed by Army and some powerful vested interests.
Now, I hear and read that the 4 plus elections that she was winning continuously; there was no opposition involvement at all; so it was totally one-sided elections that she was winning and so there was no democracy in Bangladesh. How can there be democracy when the opposition is not taking part in the elections.
More importantly, how a country will do depends on the chart of their leader; the chart tells the mindset of the leader and fortunately in India we have leaders or whoever reaches the top; they have pristine charts or they are good people; otherwise they are not able to reach that position but that cannot be said for Bangladesh. At least till now and that is why the country is where it is now.
Sheikh Hasina belongs to a very known and powerful family. Her father Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was involved in the creation of Bangladesh or is one of Bangladesh’s founding fathers and was assassinated along with his whole family except his two daughters; one of them being Sheikh Hasina who were overseas at that time with their families. So she has had a traumatic past and definitely will have a roller coaster chart at best.
So she is ASC Scorpion; emotional but smart and vindictive with Jupiter and Ketu in the lagna house and this lagna house is the house that has kept her in good stead; made sure she is born into a good family; very good family; she is very well educated; herself is lucky, extremely lucky; blessed with intelligent children who are the source of her strength; they will always be by her side; they may or may not live with her and also she has this stress bearing capacity; there is so much stress in her life but her Ketu in the Lagna House gives her the stress bearing capacity and stress does not affect her. So that is a very strong point in the chart.
4th house has Moon. Needless to say she is born in wealth, power, there is no shortage of that; mentally she is strong; mother becomes auspicious for her; there is no dearth of property or wealth in her chart.
7th house has Rahu; so even though she has been married but needless to say the life that she leads; such an unstable life; the marriage has been mostly long distance and difficult because I am sure her husband; I read about it, he passed away in 2009; would have been good but the kind of life that she leads; it can never be a normal or an ordinary married life. That is just not there; so that is what shows in her chart and she will dominate the husband; she is a very strong person. Also marriage seems to be done more so with the intention of having kids; so that this family rule can continue in Bangladesh; because with Venus debilitated what happiness is there in the marriage, I question that.
Now 9th house onwards is where the trouble starts; Mars is debilitated along with Saturn enemy; so this tells me that whatever she is doing in her life; that is her immersion into politics; is in a very sad way and not in a happy but sad circumstances. This is in a way related to her father. So father’s assassination was what led her to get into politics and it was with the feeling of vengeance always and lots of struggle. So Mars debilitated in the 9th house means turmoil due to career; her career is that of a politician and she is not a clean politician; there have been corruption allegations; so she is a professional politician and her party has its own manifesto. So her political life will be controversial to say the least and very tough; her life will be very tough; it will not be easy but her Lagna House ensures that she will be not that much effected by whatever happens because there also have been so many assassinations attempts on her but still she has survived. Now sudden deaths cannot be predicted but still due to the Lagna chart it could be said that she is lucky despite everything.
Now her 11th house again is trouble; so that means she is born in a very well-known family; due to father of course; father was the founder of Bangladesh; so the topmost family in that country due to Sun well placed in the 11th house but again Venus debilitated here means hard life due to father; so there are mixed energies coming to her due to her father; on one hand it gives her the name and fame due to family; but also brings a lot of controversy and a hard life. This is not an easy life and she has link to foreign countries also, where she has residences also but it will be hard. What I mean is like for example – Right now, India is a foreign country for her; see the condition under which she is staying here; literally in refuge and UK has rejected her permission for coming there for refuge. US has cancelled her visa too.
And her 12th house Mercury means that she can be very vindictive if things do not go her way. The students or citizens of Bangladesh are being shot by their own cops or military. That is what she resorted to due to uncontrolled anger and misguided ego and that led to her downfall. Now this presidency that she is been going through is not without controversy. It has started with controversy in her debilitated Venus Mahadasha and it has ended in a controversy. So this has not been an easy time for her; a very controversial time and this will remain. Her legacy as the president of Bangladesh will be a bad one and now there is no chance for her to go back. All the doors are closed and this happened during her Venus-Mercury antardasha with Venus debilitated and Mercury in the 12th house; so it could not have been a worse time for her. Blinded by her ego she just mishandled and misread the situation.
Her Mercury in the 12th house was just the last icing on the cake and it will never let her settle down anywhere; she will be roaming around; that has been her life; like a vagabond around the world; be rich but other than the happiness from children or money; there is nothing much. So such is her time and she was on borrowed time since becoming president of Bangladesh more than a decade back. Now she has to literally beg to stay in a foreign country which is India and this is not for the first time. So as president, when your own people that is people of Bangladesh, they are kicking you out; it means you are going through a very bad time and this is not going to improve anytime soon because even her next Sun Mahadasha after 2031 is in the same 11th house. She may feel a bit more relaxed but always there is a black spot on her legacy. I do not rule out attempts to somehow remain relevant.
Also I would like to comment that countries in which people are becoming presidents/top leaders with debilitated planets and their mahadasha running and remaining in power; those countries are doomed. So in a way this has been good for Bangladesh that she has been removed.
I want to tell everyone this is just my astrological opinion I am not a political analyst; I do not see anything through the prism of politics.
PS – In the 1971 Indo Pakistan War; both my uncles were infantry officers and one of them took a bullet to his spine and was injured with permanent paralysis naval downwards. So that tells you how much the friendly people of India have contributed towards the creation of Bangladesh.
