Some lives are tragic and what makes this tragedy worse is that nobody comes to help. In one shape or form God calls such innocent souls back to give them fresh start at another life. This is how now I look at it.
Meena Kumari
I have checked the chart for August 1st, 1932 at the given time and place. This does not seem to be the chart of “tragedy queen” Meena Kumari. When I checked Wikipedia, it gave the year of birth as 1933. So I have kept all the other details the same and taken the year of birth as 1933 and this more or less gels with the pattern of her life.

Analysis
So she herself was an innocent but massively egoist ASC Libra at 17 degrees. Romantic by heart but was very unlucky as far as her personal life went. Second house had Moon debilitated, this means practical absence of mother in her life; mother not auspicious for her at all and an unstable household. Or without a stable household or a place which you can really call home. Life became very tough. She started working at a very young age due to the same. This as she came from an impoverished family; not very rich, lived in chawls. 4th house has Saturn retrograde lord housed. So in Mumbai only she made a name for herself via films and due to that she had money, though she was not money minded but she did buy property and all the other luxuries of life due to her own hard work and though she got no love from her mother but she was loyal to her mother. 5th house has Rahu and when I see this in conjunction with the whole chart, absence of children, which she would have wanted but she could not have. She did not get time; where where was the time.
All her life she was working since childhood and then she got married to Kamal Amrohi at the age of 20 years and he was a terrifying and abusive husband. Physically abusive, controlling. He was many years older to her and he made her life hell. They remained married till her end but she separated from him in 1964 and she was literally heartbroken and suffered from insomnia or lack of sleep.
10th house has Sun, Mercury retrograde and Venus enemy. This means that she was intelligent, courageous, money was there. She made good amount of money. But it was not easy for her to get along with everybody and she was a woman who would not tolerate abuse but what happens is when one is having debilitated Moon in the second house then your personal life never takes off. So anybody who comes in your life will only damage you. You become insecure and are prone to abuse more so being emotionally a wreck. That is what happened, frequent fights with her husband Kamal Amrohi throughout her 10th house retrograde and Mercury mahadasha and initial part of her 11th house enemy Venus mahadasha from the age of 20 years till the age of 32 years. He himself was a known director in his own right and made many hit moves with her. She was his second (out of third wife. He already had three children. Her 11th house had Jupiter, Venus enemy and Ketu. It gave her name but personal tragedy too played out in public. She was very lucky coming from where she did and she was well known by a relatively young age; gave many hits and later on was known as the tragedy queen but due to Venus enemy, marriage happiness was not to be. Her husband was too a high profile person – Kamal Amrohi, but she was heartbroken and she died of a broken heart. Because Ketu in this house means that her fame cost her life. Mars in the 12th house gave her Mangal Dosha. So it becomes difficult for marriage to sustain. Quietly she was suffering in pain. Due to all this trauma of her married and romantic life and heartbreak, she could get sleep. The pain went to her sou. So in lieu of the sleeping pill the doctor advised her to take some Brandy. But she got hooked to it and towards the end of her life she suffered from liver cirrhosis or failure of the liver and sadly passed away very early. Just weeks after the release of her last and most powerful film directed by her husband Kamal Amrohi named “Paakezah”. Her husband who controlled her abused her; when he passed away in 1993; he was buried beside her. So even though in life they could not live together happily but in death they were together.
Hers was a very very sad life, despite all the material benefits.
The other person whose chart you are asking me to analyze – Madhubala, her life was on similar lines. She also died very young of liver cirrhosis in 1969. Three years before Meena Kumari. Meena Kumari was there at the cremation Madhubala. People there were shocked to Meena Kumari so frail and sick in 1969. Nargis Dutt, mother of Sanjay Dutt who was a good friend of Meena Kumari and Madubala who was also there was shocked to find Meena Kumari in such a frail condition.

So she was a weak ASC Aquarius with Sun also weekly placed as enemy in the Lagna House with Mercury and Rahu. So there is a personality defect as on one hand she is found to prone to depression and on the other hand though polite but she is very dominating person and she wants things to go her way. Its like a childish domination because if things don’t go her way, especially in matters of the heart then she can just take to drinking as a show of rebellion and that’s what she did and ruined her life. This because 7th house has Mars retrograde, Jupiter retrograde and Ketu; so gives her Mangal dosh and tells me that her married or romantic life would be full of turmoil and given her basic nature of being Ascendant Aquarius but a weak Aquarius gives her traits of being Capricorn too. So though practical by nature, but she would be prone to always worrying but what happens is that she is polite to a fault but extremely dominating in matters of the heart and if she doesn’t get what she wants especially with regards to her romantic life or romantic partner, which she would not because she has Mangal Dosha, Mars is also retrograde along with Jupiter retrograde and Ketu in the 7th house; means that difficulty becoming mother of healthy children; difficulty in relationships and disinterested after certain time in romantic partners or spouse. There is some amount of disinterest also if the person does not listen to her but it that makes her prone to anxiety. 8th house has Moon; this means that due to that personal trouble this highly sensitive person would just keep on thinking about it all the time; she would not be a person who can move forward from a failed romance and take to intoxicants to calm her nerves and that is what caused her her life to end. She to suffered from cirrhosis of the liver. If that was not enough that Saturn was lord with Venus in the 12th house. So what that meant is she would do well in her profession far away from her place of birth but that would also be the cause of personal tragedy because Venus is also sitting there; that means due to her profession only she would meet lot of lovers and one of them would be her husband and they would not get along and she she would do self harm and what she did was she took to drinking and at a very young age, suffered from cirrhosis of liver and died.
So this is the common thread between these two – Meena Kumari and Madhubala; that they were heartbroken due to the men in their life. They both could not move forward from it and took to alcohol and passed away very young.
